This blog is about a lot of things, but mostly it is about synchronicity, deeper meanings and little connections. I love when synchronicity shows up in my life; I believe that these are signs from the heavens to confirm that I am exactly where I need to be on my path. Everything flows, feathers fall from the sky, and the planets all line up!
Last Sunday, a couple of important things happened. First, it was our community's second ever public Pride Parade. I was eager to attend to show support for my friends and for all those who have had to fight for acceptance. It was time to haul out the rainbow colours!
The second thing that was happening was my monthly Archangel group call with my fellow Angel Tribers who are studying with Kyle Gray. As ever, I was excited to join the call and experience a meditation, wise words and information on our AA (Archangel) Ariel.
I was torn because the time frame for these two events overlapped. I knew I did not have time to participate in the parade if I wanted to listen to the Angel Tribe call. With a small bit of juggling, I managed to hear the call and watch the parade from the sidelines!
I loved studying AA Ariel a little more in-depth. I learned her name means "lioness of God" and from past studies, I knew she was the angel who watches over animals and the natural world, and who brings us prosperity. What I had never heard before is that she is also the angel of social justice, fighting for rights and equality. How perfect for our fledgling Pride Day!!
During the animal guide meditation, I had a wolf come to me, as often happens, but I also got an image of a small red fox. This was new! I shouldn't have been surprised when, after the meditation, Kyle shared about his two animal guides, wolf and - you guessed it - the red fox! Another of those little connections!
Then it was time for me to go to the parade and celebrations, and I was excited to bring the energy of Archangel Ariel with me. How perfect was the timing of this month's theme of equality and standing up for the rights of others!
On my way out the door, I stopped to pet one of my gorgeous tabby cats and I had a realization that made me shake my head. Shreddie is the first male cat I have had in 20 years, and he, in fact, chose us as a tiny kitten. Our nickname for him is Lion Boy!
So without even knowing it, I have been conjuring up the energy of AA Ariel in so many ways! My community activities, my participation in Angel Tribe and my choice of pets are all infused with this fiery protective archangel! I don't have to know what all these little connections mean other than: You are just fine. You are where you are supposed to be.
In closing, I leave you with the energy of Ariel and also of my Lion Boy! Namaste!
I love it so much when little seemingly-unrelated events come together to show me a bigger picture. I had a series of experiences last week that, on their own, didn't seem like much but once I put them together, they showed me how spirit works to give me the messages I need.
It started with The Tonight Show. One of my highest priorities these days is to get as many belly laughs as possible. Jimmy Fallon is one of my favourites and his show never disappoints. He had Tom Cruise on as a guest, and as they prepared for a Mad Libs sketch, Jimmy asked Tom for a series of words to fill in the blanks.
Jimmy asked Tom for a female relative and then a female name to go with it. Tom said 'Aunt' and then 'Ingrid'. Really? Is that the first female name that comes to mind for anyone, much less one of the biggest movie stars in the world? Well, it just so happens that Ingrid is my mother's name, so my ears perked up.
A little further into this process, Jimmy asked Tom for the name of a celebrity. Pretty wide open category, right? Maybe he could say Oprah or Jimmy Fallon or John Travolta, but nope. He said, get this, Ingrid Bergman! What? She is a lovely woman and a fine actress from days gone by, but how on earth did he come up with her? And the name Ingrid, twice in three minutes? Bizarre!
My mother has been gone for over nine years now, and I think of her almost every day. As I watched the show, I came to the conclusion that my mother was saying hello to me. This is the 'sign' we look for from our loved ones who have passed on, a how-do-you-do and I am just fine.
Fast forward a couple of days, and I was doing my homework from the course I am taking with Angelologist Kyle Gray. My assignment was to meditate, then write down my Spiritual Board of Directors, those beings of light who are 100% reliable in supporting and loving me. I am asked to choose 5 or 6 beings. To my left, I see AA Michael. To my right, AA Raphael. In front of me, AA Gabriel, and behind me, my guardian angel. I wait a little longer and I come up with Reiki, the spiritually-guided life force energy pouring over me like a shower of celestial light. That is five. It should be enough but it doesn't seem complete.
Then it hits me. It's Ingrid! My mother is on my Spiritual Board of Directors! She spoke to me through the tv show to remind me that she is still around, and that she is here forever to provide love and guidance whenever I need it! And then I saw her go directly into my heart. Thanks, Bestemor. I am pretty sure you are the CEO of my Board!

I prefer not to address the fact that I abandoned my website for 3 1/2 years at this time because I have other things to talk about. Say, for instance, miracles. I am sitting in a mire of inexplicables and I want to share one with you.
I received some money last summer, ten twenty-dollar bills in a thank you card. I did not feel that there should have been money exchanged in this situation but I was a gracious recipient, and allowed the giver to give. In the back of my mind, I knew that I would pass the money along to someone or something else.
Fast-forward six months to Christmas. I have the blessed opportunity to offer support to other non-profits in my current job. I knew exactly what to do with that money, but oh, where to find it! I looked EVERYWHERE that it could possibly be. No luck. I decided not to be obsessive so I just put the thought aside and knew that I'd either find it or I wouldn't!
Next comes New Year's Eve, a time of reflection and recalibration. I pulled out a few Angel Cards and two cards that represented which Archangels will be guiding me in this new year, 2018. I got Gabriel and Chamuel. I had to refresh my connection to Chamuel, as I tend to work with three or four favourites. The card itself had a certain message, but Chamuel is referred to as "The Finding Angel".
Hmmmm. This is getting interesting.
I have a bag in my bedroom that is filled with Christmas presents from my sister. I moved it to my room on Christmas Eve. I walked by it today and wanted to check out the contents again. I saw a $20 bill. Strange, I thought, as I did not receive any cash for Christmas. When I reached in, I saw a large card with unfamiliar writing on the envelope. What Christmas card is this, I wondered. I pulled it out and I think you already know what it was.
It was the card from last summer with ten twenty-dollar bills in it!
I kid you not. The more I sit with this discovery, the more unsettled I am. An envelope that has been missing for six months shows up in a bag of gifts I received two weeks ago. Does this make sense? No, it does not. We have to accept that life is not all trite and explainable and predictable if we are to even talk about this. I didn't ask for angelic guidance to find something that was fairly important, but it was in my consciousness and that cheeky Chamuel heard me anyway. Imagine the power when we do remember to ask!
Do you see how this all fits together? Do you see the unseen stream of energy that swirled through these seemingly unconnected events to produce a miracle?
Maybe you have had a similar experience. Share your thoughts!
