Beautifying Your Life

This is the fourth in a "Getting to Know the Archangels" series.  There will be a total of fifteen.

I was contemplating two different topics for this blog:  one was the next in the Archangel series, and the other was about hockey.  I was thinking and towelling off after my shower when a little white feather drifted down from my towel onto the floor.  I had my answer!

I was recently searching for a metaphor to describe how I see, feel or otherwise interpret angels.  The best I can come up with is this:  the space around us is filled with invisible energies, from microwave signals to radio waves to thought forms to unseen spirits.  They are of a higher frequency than our bodies, so they move right through us and we can't see them.  In most cases, angels are another one of these energies. 

I like to think of them by their colours, as though they are beautiful, coloured ribbons swirling invisibly around us like individual strands of a rainbow.  Each one is similar yet has its own distinct characteristics.  We can call upon or envision these ribbons wrapping around us and lending us the support of these characteristics, according to our needs and prayers. 

If the energy is a deep blush pink, both strong and gentle, it is Archangel Jophiel. She is an angel with definite feminine energy, and embodies beauty on all levels.  I see Jophiel as emanating primarily from the heart chakra with a role as well in the root chakra.  The image I get is of a beautiful strong pink colour flowing out of my heart, down my arms and through my hands. This is a wonderful image of allowing my touch to bring love and beauty to the world.

When is it appropriate to call in Jophiel?  As with all the angels and archangels, any time is appropriate!  However, there are specific times that Jophiel's unique qualities benefit us the most.

Think of beauty.  What does it mean to you?  Is it physical beauty?  Jophiel's energy and presence can enhance our physical beauty as we call on her when making decisions around our appearance.  She is available to help us with the right clothing, colours, haircut and style.  This is not superficial!  When we look our best, we feel better, and that is one of the points of us asking for angelic help:  to feel good about ourselves, to have confidence and self-love so we can share these things with others.

Jophiel also guides the beauty in our surroundings.  She can help with Feng Shui or simply decorating our homes.  If you are uncertain about how to beautify your living space, ask Archangel Jophiel to guide your choices.  You will be drawn to the colours, patterns and objects that will bring you relaxation and comfort.  We all need a safe place to let our guard down, and our home should support that.
