ANGELIC REALMS
Based on Realms of the Earth Angels by Doreen Virtue, PhD
According to Doreen Virtue, PhD, many of us are Earth Angels aka Lightworkers. This means that we incarnated on this planet at this time with a specific mission for the good of the world. There are four basic realms of Earth Angels within this general framework, and many blended realms or hybrids.
Some of the information on this page is from Doreen's book while other details have come from the Angel Therapy Practitioner course. The realms continue to expand and evolve as Doreen receives more information. She has recently published a book describing more blended realms; you may want to read these books as well.
Knowing your realm helps you to feel a sense of belonging as well as clues to your personal life purpose. You will get to know yourself better through expected personality traits and ideas for career.

Four basic realms:
- Incarnated Angels
- Incarnated Elementals (fairies, pixies, gnomes, unicorns)
- Starpeople
- Wise Ones (sorcerers, sorceresses, wizards, witches, shamans, high priestesses)
Incarnated Angel including Cherubs
Beautiful Angels want to help and fix and rescue. They listen to everyone's problems; they are the first ones that their friends turn to for help or a shoulder to cry on. They are most likely to marry people with addictions or other issues. They are warm and compassionate and find it their duty to make everyone happy.
You will often see blond hair or streaks, a heart-shaped face and a little extra weight on an Incarnated Angel. They find work as healers and helpers, might be shy and prefer to work with one person as opposed to a group. They may be nurses, teachers, flight attendants, any occupation whose purpose is to serve and help.
There is no edge to an Angel. You will notice an open face, see goodness is their eyes and feel warmth emanating from their hearts. They will talk about feelings and emotions, cry freely and feel deeply. They are the ones to bring home a stray animal or choose the saddest puppy at the pound to adopt and love. They trust easily, apologize for everything, feel guilty and are reluctant to say no. They have an aura of sweetness and unconditional love.
Incarnated Angels are sensitive and take on the pain of others, so they are wise to learn how to shield themselves. They are easily drained and must learn to protect their energy and set boundaries. They love to be in love.
A variation of the Incarnated Angel is the Cherub. This one is often petite and rounded, and is all about romance. Give her some chocolate, pearls, bubble bath and she will be happy. She loves massage, pampering and luxury. She also falls in love easily and often, and may find herself matchmaking or drawn to pursue a career in relationship counselling.

Elementals are playful, flirty, sexy party animals. They love Mother Earth, and take care of the air, water, earth, animals and trees. They may prefer nature to people. Good professions for Elementals are: marine biologist, forestry, working with flower essences. They can be spiritual and environmental teachers.
Elementals often have a shy side, but are generally the life of the party. They love an audience and have a great sense of humour.
You can easily tell an Elemental by the face shape and demeanour. Think of someone with a Pixie face, slim build and high energy. They may come in all shapes and sizes but they will have a playful side that is unmistakable.
Differences between Angels and Elementals include: Rule follower vs rule breaker, serious and polite vs fun-loving and mischievous, feathery vs butterfly-type wings, rescuers vs addicts or in recovery, patient and calm vs fiery and passionate. The energy of one group is quite different than the other.
Elementals may be the life of the party but they need their alone time, preferably in nature. They are advised to work outside if possible, as protecting nature is at their core.

If you are shy and sensitive and very distressed by violence, you may be a Starperson. Their primary purpose is to reduce stress, anger and rage for themselves and the world. Their larger mission is to save the earth from nuclear destruction but on a smaller scale, they spread kindness and common decency. They probably invented the concept of "random acts of kindness." They are kind without a thought to being appreciated or thanked. It is just who they are.
Although they are sweet and gentle, it may be hard to get to know them. You may feel like you can't get close and they are in their own little world. They may seem cold and distant, but this is not personal. They may be so direct you think you are talking to Mr. Spock, the consummate Starperson! Starpeople often don't marry or have children, as this may be a contradiction to life on their "home" planet (which is not Earth!).
These people are good with technology and love state-of-the-art gadgets. They are task-oriented and helpful which make them fine postal or bank clerks and customer-service personnel. They are drawn to astonomy, science fiction, inventions and may be Trekkies. They will prefer one to one interactions or small groups, and will not want to be the centre of attention. Starpeople may be socially awkward and deflect attention. They may feel different and that they don't belong, often reporting a lonely childhood. They will not be showy in appearance, and females may choose not to wear make-up. However, they may have unusual or striking eyes.
You may find a Starperson gaze longingly at the night sky with a longing for home. They may even report experiences with UFOs. They have innate healing abilities and are often found working as Reiki Masters.

Wise One (sorcerer, sorceress, wizard, witch, shaman, high priestess)
Ah, the Wise Ones. Think of heavy robes, haunted eyes and a somber presence. They are highly opinionated and can be annoying with their know-it-all stance but truly, they most often do know! They feel different but it doesn't bother them and they are at ease with the darkness and shadow side of humanity. They are the old souls who have witnessed it all.
Some Wise Ones volunteered to come to Earth at this time and are comfortable with this while others resent having to live yet another life on this chaotic planet. It is best for them to get involved with studying rituals, shamanics, astrology, Wicca and other ancient arts as they will feel more at home. They are gifted in magic and manifestation, alchemy and healing.
Wise Ones may like to wear flowing clothes, dark colours and crystal pendants. They may be drawn to Renaissance Fairs and studying Avalon, Atlantis and ancient mythology. There may be some health problems around the heart, which could be residual pain from the witch hunts.
You may find Wise Ones in non-reciprocal relationships where they are the teacher and the other is a student. They yearn for ideal relationships and may settle for something unsatisfactory as though they've given up, or avoid relationships altogether. It is important that they respect and admire partners. Without respect, there is no relationship.
Wise Ones are highly skilled magicians and co-creators. They may have taken vows in past lives that no longer serve them, and would be best released (poverty, chastity, etc.) Wise Ones need the balance of laughter and play in their lives.
Some Wise Ones volunteered to come to Earth at this time and are comfortable with this while others resent having to live yet another life on this chaotic planet. Knight Paladin Angel + Wise One
This realm can bring to mind Archangel Michael, as they share the traits of honour, trust and high ethics. You can imagine crusaders, templars and knights of the round table. In modern times, they might be in law enforcement, armed forces and security, as they are concerned with doing the right thing and upholding order. They respect rules, authority and organization (as all incarnated angels tend to).
Knights are polite, civil and helpful, sometimes to the point of being a bit stuffy and unyielding. They will not compromise their sense of ethics.
You might recognize a Knight by his or her large, muscular body, clear intense eyes and dignified posture. Their interests include suits of armour, dragons, swords, jousting and other knightly topics. They love books, films and video games that involve strategizing, war themes, sword fights and redemption.
Modern-day Knights don't have a king's orders to follow, so they rely on their strong inner voice to guide them on their solo missions. Look for these Knights in politics, law, writing, speaking, coaching and leading.

Leprechaun Wise One + Elemental
Leprechauns definitely have two sides to them! They are filled with wisdom and knowledge because they have lived many lifetimes ("old souls") but are also practical jokers and entertainers. Their sense of humour is legendary.
They may be drawn to Celtic traditions, magic, healing and manifestation, as leprechauns have a long history of shapeshifting and teaching. They love or wear green well, and have a deep respect for and connection to the environment. You will know them by their down-to-earth nature with a generous helping of fun and games.
As Doreen says in her book, "One minute when you look into a Leprechaun's eyes you see the serious intensity of a wise teacher. The next minute, though, you'll see the mischievous look of a seven-year-old who's about to play a prank."

Merpeople Elemental + Angel
Merpeople are distinguished by their red or auburn hair, which generally is a genetic minority. In history, red-haired women were often persecuted as witches; perhaps they were mermaids who carried magical abilities and knowledge.
Merpeople must live by water in order to feel happy and healthy. Merfairies need rivers and lakes; Merangels, Mystic Mers and Star Mers crave the ocean. They may feel an attraction or connection to the ancient oceanic civilizations of Atlantis and Lemuria.
Male or female Merpeople prefer longer hair and clothing in the green/blue/turquoise family. They love the water but may need a tropical location, as they are sensitive to the cold. They often have thirst, dry skin and constipation issues.
Merpeople especially love dolphins, whales, seabirds, seahorses, dragonflies and any creature found near the water.

Here is a complex realm filled with magic and ancient wisdom. These people are drawn to pyramids, crystals, ancient technology and dreams. They may feel a special connection not only to Atlantis but to Egypt and the Ascended Masters.
You will find these individuals to have a sense of dignity with their height, posture and erect stance. Like Merpeople, they love the ocean, but they may have a phobia of drowning. This is due to past-life memories of death when Atlantis fell.

Shapeshifter
If you still don't relate or seem to fit into one of the realms, you may be a Shapeshifter (formerly known as Dabbler). This means you may be jumping around from realm to realm, or you are in the process of moving from one realm to another. It is also possible that you belong to a realm that is yet to be discovered.
